London Shootfighters offers a wide range of classes in various sports and disciplines, all taught by instructors of the very highest calibre. Many of the coaches have competed and trained others at the very highest level of their sport.

The aim is to bring this knowledge into the classes and make it accessible for all gym members. The classes while taught expertly aim to be fun and of course to give you a great workout. You’ll learn real skills and techniques but also get in the best shape of your life.

Classes at London Shootfighters are also avenues for taking your chosen sport to the highest level. All the coaches are experienced and knowledgeable of the road to becoming a champion in their field. You will also see many top level athletes training alongside you, they and the coaches will be happy to give you any advice and guidance about competing and taking your sport to the next level.

Coaches at both the West London and East London branches work together to provide the very highest level of instruction available and you can be sure whichever branch you choose you will be given the best coaching available

Beginners MMA/No-gi jiu-jitsu

The same as the MMA class but specifically taught for beginners and those being introduced to the sport of MMA. The coaches will pay particular attention to teaching you the fundamentals and making sure you improve in both skill and understanding of the sport at a comfortable pace.

Boxing

Boxing

There is no better way to improve your punching skills or your fitness than the sport of boxing. Our boxing program will improve both your offensive and defensive punching skills through a series of drills. You will incorporate the heavy bag, speed bag, shadow boxing, and focus mitts to achieve these goals. The class will also contain fitness and conditioning work to get you fighting fit or just to lose weight and tone up.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and proper technique; most notably, by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat them. BJJ can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. It stresses movement,, technique, flexibility and fitness.

Fighter Development/Shootbox

An essential class for any aspiring fighter, the Shoot Box class teaches a mixture of striking and wrestling for an MMA or street fight. Mixing the strikes of Boxing and Muay Thai with Wrestling and Jiujitsu it shows how to avoid strikes and take an opponent down and, conversely, to avoid a takedown and strike effectively. The class combines the fitness and strength benefits of both boxing and wrestling making it an excellent workout as well as teaching you essential fighting skills.

MMA/Submission Wrestling

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques, from a mixture of martial arts. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground. The sport is one of the fastest growing in the world and can be seen in such events as 'The Ultimate Fighting Championships" or UFC as it is known. MMA classes focus predominantly on the "up close" work needed to compete in a cage or ring fight or, indeed, the street. Clinch work, striking, takedowns, submissions, "ground n' pound" and escapes are all covered in expert detail. Classes generally consist of a warm-up and cardio work, technique drills and sparring.

Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques it is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or the "Science of Eight Limbs" because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, The world famous KO team teaches the Muay Thai classes aat London Shootfighters KO Gym was established in London by former World Champion Bill Judd in 1976. KO has developed to become one of the premier gyms outside of Thailand producing over 40 British, European and World Champions. Bill Judd is the UK Muay Thai Team coach and has produced many Gold medalists over the last 3 decades and is one of the most sought after coaches in the world.

Taken by the London Shootfighters strength and conditioning coach, the Strength & Conditioning class consists of exercises and circuits that are designed to improve your cardiovascular and muscular endurance as well core strength.
